How do you book talk to your students? How often? Any
resources for this?
Unfortunately I don’t book talk as much as I would like to.
There are times where I may be reading books from an author and I will show
students what other books that the author has written and give a brief
description. I “loosely” book talked the books we have in the library about
different winter Olympic sports.
When I first started teaching I had a class of second
graders each check out a Robert Munsch book. They had to read it and then come
to the library to Book Talk it in front of the video camera. Some students wore
costumes and the video turned out cute!
